How Long Wellbutrin Takes To Get Out Of The System?
Hi, I take a day 1- 300mg of wellbutrin 1- 30 mg of cymbalta 4- 10 mg of ritalin I have been steadily taking these pills for over a year now and a week ago I ran out of my wellbutrin. I have been experiencing withdrawal symptoms of the wellbutrin and finally was able to get my script filled yesterday. I only took 150 mg of the wellbutrin when I got it to taper myself back onto it. My question is how long should I wait before smoking marijuana again? I know that it cuts the effectiveness of my meds by 50 %, but I am a pretty regular smoker. I haven t smoked in the past three days because I was told the marijuana would just make my withdrawal symptoms that much worse. But since I ve slowly started taking the wellbutrin again (yesterday) if I were to smoke now (to help with my appetite) would it just make me start the withdrawal symptoms again (vomiting, tremors, etc.)?

I do fear that smoking THC again at this time would definitely interfere with any ground you have gained regarding restoration of your Wellbutrin. Wellbutrin is a rather quickly metabolized drug and really the effects would be out of you system, likely completely within 5 days, however it does take your body some time to begin to restore the neurotransmitter levels since the Wellbutrin was stopped. So the Wellbutrin withdrawal symptoms tend to persist.
Restarting the Wellbutrin 1 week later at 1/2 dose will help to alleviate the symptoms but I would definitely avoid the THC until you can get back to your desired dose of 300mg and are maintained on that dose for at least 5 days.
