Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

What to do for your ear depends on what is causing the plugging problem.

If you've recently had a cold, there could be fluid behind your ear drum which keeps the ear drum from moving properly and causes a muffled sound. For this, an oral decongestant for a few days can help.

If it is from build up of wax, which is in the ear canal (part from outside the eardrum that leads to the outer ear), then ear wax softening drops can help.

I don't know which it is without looking in your ear. Trying the ear wax softening drops, which you can buy at a drugstore, won't hurt so you can start with that. Or, go to the doctor to see what is going on. They will be able to see if there is fluid behind the ear drum.

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can provide further information.
