How Can A Concussion Be Ruled Out?

Question: 5 month old fell off changing table. I believe she hurt her leg. no swelling bruising or crying when touched. only cried for 5 mins at time of accident.
Brief Answer:
If she's comfortable and moving all limbs well - Don't worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi....I understand your concern. If she's comfortable and moving all limbs well, don't worry.
But as she fell down, you need to be on the lookout for signs of head injury.
I will suggest you danger signs of head injury -
1. Vomiting continuously
2. Seizures
3. Watery of bloody discharge from ears and nose
4. Unconsciousness
5. Altered sensorium or behaviour.
If these are not there, you need not worry.
But if swelling develops or if there is difficulty in moving any of the limbs, then you get her checked at the nearest emergency room.
