Question: I have a freely moving lump about the size of dime, on the side of my left leg, about 4 inches from the top of my knee,near were I bend my leg. What can you tell me about this lump?

If the lump is painless, non-tender, of a longer duration and is freely XXXXXXX the most probable cause is a lipoma.
This is a benign tumor and needs no active treatment unless it shows any symptoms like pain, tenderness, sudden enlargement of size or any other change.
