Should I Be Concerned About Twinges In Ovary Inspite Of Having Removed Benign Tumor From One Of My Ovaries?

Hello. I am 57, comfortably in menopause for a few years, and suddenly have mild occasional twinges in my left ovary. When I was 28 I had a large benign tumor removed from one of my ovaries (can't remember which one). I had 2 healthy children after that. I see my gynecologist every year. Please advise. Thank you.

Hello,

Yes, thyroid level can lead to irregular menses. have TSH done and manage dose acc to it as your endocrinologist prescribes.

Also, have other blood tests and USG done. If this happens many times. Have hormonal pills to get period, drink warm water and have healthy food, life style can also affect them eg food, stress, lack of sleep.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Richa Agarwal, OBGYN
