How Can A Sore On The Roof Of The Mouth Be Treated?

Explained
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
Based on the description you made, its most likely an aphthous ulcer which is quite common. Topical combined rinsing of prednisolone or dexamethasone with mecobalamin helps resolve it much quicker than oral treatment. Another method is to crush a doxycycline and prednisolone tablet together and apply the paste on the sore/lesion.
Having said that, the sore needs to be examined first. If its painful and recurrent or spreading then extended oral therapy with doxycycline and B 12 with folate supplementation may be advised. Topical Cetalkonium chloride and choline salicylate combination helps reduce the irritation and resolve the lesion quicker. If none of these empiric therapies work then a biopsy can be considered in consultation with your doctor to rule out other causes.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks
