Question: I have always had large pores on my nose but the last 2 yrs I started developed 1 large one on the tip of my nose which turned into a angry oozing pore the drainage is clear but kept spreading in a circle. A small part would heal but it would keep going. The odd part is the r circles the size of the pore. My ddermatolgist says it's bc I pick at but it hurts like a piece of glass or splinter. He finally used injections of XXXXXXX steriod & they all went away for a month. I went back a month later with some small ones which he injected except 1 which has turned into a hole 3/32wide & deep he has injected it 3 times with no success it looks great for 2-3 days but it turns into a oozing painfil hole. It has been tested but they say it's nothing & yet I keep getting them. Please help

Brief Answer:
You should send the discharge for Culture and Sensitivity.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I saw the pic.
It looks like an infected lesion. The discharge has to be sent for Culture and Sensitivity. Appropriate Antibiotic course has to be taken.Pending reports, I prescribe Antibiotic Linezolid 600mg twice daily after food to my patients with similar complaints.
You should clean the wound daily with Povidone Iodine solution.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
