How Can One Confirm If Foreplay Actions Like Mutual Masturbation And Kissing Lead To Chances Of Contracting STD?
However, here is yet another site medical site kind of like planned parenthood in the US except its in Canada. So are they simply ill informed or likely trying to scare people unreasonably so?
See what it says about likelihood under mutual masturbation and hand job...what say you? I'm asking my dr. friend again too.
Masturbation:
- Not passed (Or possible only in theory): gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, HPV, herpes, syphilis
Hand job:
- Not passed (Or possible only in theory): gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV
- Not commonly passed: HPV, herpes, syphilis
Fingering:
- Not passed (Or possible only in theory): gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV
- Not commonly passed: HPV, herpes, syphilis
Genital to genital contact (Skin to skin, no sharing of body fluids):
- Not passed (Or possible only in theory): gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV
- Can be passed: HPV, herpes, syphilis
Genital to genital contact (Skin to skin, with sharing of body fluids):
- Not commonly passed: gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV
- Can be passed: HPV, herpes, syphilis
Sharing sex toys (Without condom / not cleaned between):
- Can be passed: gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, HPV, herpes, syphilis
Sharing sex toys (With condom / cleaned between):
- Not passed (Or possible only in theory): gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, HPV, herpes, syphilis
1. The chances with condoms are based on the knowledge that sometimes condoms break, slip off or are incorrectly used. If a condom is used perfectly, the chance will be lower. If the condom breaks or slips, the chances are the same as if a condom wasn't used.
2. The chances of HIV being passed cn depend on viral load. For example, the chances are lower if the partner is on treatment for HIV and has an undetectable viral load.
No risk of STD.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Under masturbation it says that the chances of passing any form of STD are only theoretical and there is no evidence to support it. Therefore, that is self explanatory because there have been no cases reported.
For manual sexual stimulation which is the same as mutual masturbation, it says that HIV is is not passed which is logical and it is NOT COMMON to pass HPV, herpes and syphilis.
I do not totally agree with the 'NOT COMMON' part! I think if it is just a simple hand job, the chances are absolutely nil! However, most people practice other forms of sex too along with hand job like oral, vaginal and anal sex. Only then, it becomes difficult to estimate the exact risk from a hand job alone and any transmission may give an impression that the hand job is a risky route.
I think you should just forget about any risk of STD from the physical contact that you had. Internet does not always provide true facts and moreover, they have to be interpreted in the right context.
Hope I have answered your query.
