Question: My college age son is about to take an exam in 3 hours, he has a terrible cough. He went to the health clinic 3 days ago and tested negative for strep and mono. He was told to see a doctor if things do not improve by today. He will go after his final, what cough suppressant can he take now so that he will not fall asleep during his final?

Brief Answer:
Give him fexofenadine.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
So, basically he needs non sedative cough suppressant.
Fexofenadine 180mg is the best non sedative cough suppressant.
So better to give him fexofenadine stat.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your son. Thanks.
