Hello and thanks for the query.

Sore throat is most likely from a viral type infection. Recommend you stay well hydrated. Get plenty of rest. Use ibuprofen as needed for discomfort 400-600 mg every 8 hours.

If sore throat persists beyond 2-3 days and if you have fever then would recommend you see your primary doctor for exam and strep test to see if you might need an antibiotic.
