Give some antiemetic as well as ORS.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. Vomiting can occur due to many reasons. It could be due to overfilling of the stomach or due to gastritis. The presence of food content in the vomitus is normal and not a cause for concern. Unless the lost fluids and salts are replenished this could lead to fluid and salt depletion and therefore needs to be treated with ORS (oral rehydration solution). You also need to give your child some antiemetic like ondansetron as and when needed especially before feeds (15 min-30 min prior to feeds). The vomiting may resolve or continue for a day or two. If the urine frequency is unaltered you need not worry.
If the child demands feeds, feel free to give them. If the child does not seem eager to take food, do not force feed.
Let me know if I could help further.
Regards
