How Do Norcolut Pills Function In Delaying Periods?

Question: hi. i wanna ask something about consuming Norcolut tablet. i have to go to travel on 21/4 and as adviced by doctor i need to consume Norcolut to postpone my menstruation period. My expected period is on 19/4. However the doctor said,i shud take the pill right after my last period for best result and for my case is too late and the efficacy is low. Maybe i still get my period eventhough im not miss taken the pill. I want to know how the Norcolut pills functions and is it useless i take the pill because its too late regarding to my period cycle?
Brief Answer:
DETAILS ARE GIVEN BELOW.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
NORCOLUT contains Norethisterone as active ingredient. To postpone or delay your period, it should be taken twice daily 3 days prior to period due date and continued as long as you want (max 2 weeks).
You will get a withdrawal bleeding (similar to period) within 3-5 days of stopping the pills. However, your next cycle may be late or irregular.
Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.
Wish your good health and take care yourself.
