blood test today. come back positive. no symptoms. no transfusions. no drugs. donated blood there test said possible prior infection so had blood test done. Have never seen a lesion such as the pics I have seen. If u got a lesion would it be on the part of the body that came into contact with a partners lesion?
Brief Answer:
Yes there is possibility of prior infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for follow up query.
Yes many may not have noticed the primary lesion.
The site can be genitals or around anus or area of contact.
Some do not have primary lesions but the test will be positive.
There are false positives too.
The test remains positive for a long time even after the infection is treated. This is antibodies test.Positivity implies past infection too.
You can consult your doctor and take a course of treatment.
Get your partner tested too.
You can get back for any clarification.
