How Does Cystometrogram Procedure Work?

Normal procedure; it will be accurate ma'am
Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
I have gone through your query with diligence ma'am and shall try my level best to provide as much information to you as possible, until you are completely satisfied.
To start with, I think the procedure conducted was a cystometrogram. This procedure is usually conducted to check for neurogenic problems, incontinence, or individuals who have difficulty urinating or with the urine itself.
Let me explain all the observations made during this procedure. Firstly, all steps would have been taken to kill the bacteria externally, leaving only bacteria (if present) within to be recorded once the sample is collected.
Second, once the fluid is filled the nurse or doctor checks if the patient is experiencing any pain leakage, or any other symptoms. Third, the capacity of the bladder is measured. Next, when the patient is asked to void the pressure of the urine flow is measured. This sample is collected as it is not really important what fluid is collected (whether fluid we inject or urine), it is what is present in the bladder (bacteria, blood, etc.) that is important.
It will not be dilute as even urine is stored in the bladder, and only a small amount is required for the investigations, so please do not worry about this ma'am.
Yes ma'am, this procedure is normal and does not necessarily require a skilled personnel to conduct the investigation, so I am sure it will yield accurate results. The result should yield accurate results, but there are very few instances when it does not report an accurate results at times, but this is not because of the technique used, but because of a few external factors.
I hope I have succeeded in explaining things in a manner best understood by you ma'am. Please forgive me if I have not and write back to me for any further clarifications, and I would be more than happy to help you.
Best wishes.

Actually the urologist was checking for Cancer and atypical cells. She looked for bladder tumors through the cystoscope. Can you check an urologist if this is a normal procedue for an cystology urine speciman. Thanks!
Correct procedure indeed ma'am
Detailed Answer:
Hello once again ma'am.
Oh yes, this is indeed the right procedure ma'am. Saline fluid is inserted into the bladder to help the doctor or technician to view into the bladder and look for any abnormalities carefully.
If at all any abnormalities are noted, a biopsy sample is taken or the salt water washings from inside the bladder can also be collected and sent to the laboratory to check for cancer cells.
I hope my response helps you ma'am. Please feel free to write back to me for any further assistance, it would be my pleasure to be of assistance.
Best wishes.
