How Effective Is Levaquin In Managing Bladder And Blood Infection?
Question: My wife has just been told that she has an infection in her bladder and blood. The doctor has identified the infection as klebsiella and they plan to send her home today on oral levaquin. Should she be staying in the hospital till we know if this will work? They just put her on contact isolation!

She is being released from hospital, with instructions to return her to hospital if fever developes. Since I, one of her care givers, was recently released from hospital due to asthma and pneumonia, does she pose any threat to my health? What should I do to avoid any contamination?
