How Effective Is Prostinor 2 In Preventing Pregnancy?
Question: Hi Doctor,
My girl's period starting every month 17th or 18th , Last month (October)on that date i had unprotected sex with my girlfriend but i didn't insert my hormones in her vagina
Than after next week (25th) again I had sex and she got "postinor 1" tablet then next day(26) I used condoms for sexual intercourse then last week (1st November) also I had sex and then after her got "postinor 1 tablet" within 4 hours
But doctor since last 2 days her swollen vaginal area and improper drainage of the veins in the region
I just want to know is She pregnant? ?
And if that so how to avoid from pregnancy
Any tablet for that

* But this time she got same tablet last two weeks (25th Oct and 1st Nov) and she didn't menses till now , Is that mean tablets not working ?

I heard "Postinor 2" has two tablets 1 for within 72 hours and second one within 12 hours
but my girl got "Postinor 1" tablet , it's only contain 1 tablet for within 72 hours

Hi dear,
Pregnancy can be detected only at around the time of missed periods.
Moreover, swollen vagina and improper drainage of veins in the vagina present in pregnancy, if at all, then it is present in third trimester of pregnancy. These symptoms are not present so early in pregnancy.
Taking two emergency contraceptive pills in one week also has delayed the the withdrawal bleeding due to hormonal changes. I will suggest her to wait for at least 5-7 days after the last pill intake for the withdrawal periods to occur.
Prostinor1 is an effective emergency contraceptive pill.
Nothing can be done after72 hours of the intercourse to prevent the pregnancy, if it has occurred, and she has to wait for the next expected periods.
If delayed, and pregnancy test is positive, then abortion can be done by medical method, using medicines.
