Hi Dr Patra , Actually My Wife Pregnancy is Delayed by 2 weeks and 2 Days , So Current Situation is She is 12 Weeks and 6 days Pregnant .
Please Guide for Quadruple marker test.
I also Think Quadruple test will be more significant as it would test 4 test as compared double marker .
Also If I go for Double marker do we need to go for Quadruple test ?
Please Confirm .

Brief Answer:
You have to undergo quadruple test.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome back again.
1) In QUADRUPLE test, maternal blood is tested for four specific substances: AFP, hCG, Estriol and Inhibin-A. It should be done between 15-18 weeks.
2) Double Marker test is done between 9 to 13 weeks of pregnancy and it has two component : hCG and PAPP-A. Alone, it is less sensitive.
3) QUADRUPLE test has more than 81% sensitivity to detect Down's syndrome. It is superior to all other tests in 2nd trimester.
4) Yes, you have to undergo Quadruple test, though you undergo Double marker test along with ultrasound scan for Nuchal translucency. It is more confirmatory and significant.
Hope, it helps for your information. Good luck and take care.
