How Is An Endoscopy Procedure Done?
Question: I have a endoscopy scheduled tommarrow. Do you have to lay on your side for the procedure . I was told that I would be asleep for about 15 min. I have had some stomach pain and soreness. Will any type of pain affect them putting me to sleep?

First of all the procedure is down with you laying down on your side and being asleep for 15-30 minutes.
Secondly no matter how much pain you will experience (or you are already experiencing) the doctor will put you on sleep. In most of the cases the doctor will increase the dose of sleeping drugs (in most of the cases is used Midasolam).

I don't have it. I guess he is going to send it to my pcp. How long should I stay on the meds to treat this. He didn't say. I go back in two weeks he wants me to get a xolonoscopy also since I'm 45.Is prilosec better than zantac in this case. My regular doctor had me on zantac before the gasteroligist prescribed me prilosec.

With regards to diference between Zantac and Prilosec ,I could say that Prilosec is the best treatment.
PPI's drugs like Prilosec are a new generation meds more potential in reducing acid production.
This is why your doc has choosen Prilosec to treat you.

I have the generic brand of prilosec called omeprazole is this fine to take the generic brand or should I by prilosec over the counter
