Brief Answer:
Thyroid dose

Detailed Answer:
I follow what you are asking.

As one grows older, the dose requirement of levo thyroxine goes down by 10 to 15%

The reason for this is that as we grow older, we tend to lose muscle mass. So a lower dose of levo thyroxine tends to suffice.

Sometimes when people lose weight, the dose requirement comes down for similar reasons.

The most important thing is to keep the TSH and Free T4 in target range. Discuss your goals with your endocrinologist
