How Is Sperm Motility Increased Naturally ?
Question: Hi,
Have got the analysis report, and is as given below :
Sperm Count : 73.4 million/ml
Liquification : 60 minutes
Fructose : Absent
Motility:
Actively Motile : NIL
Sulggishly Motile : 5%
Non-Motile : 95%
Morphology : 80% Normal
WBC : 1-2/HPF
Epitheail Cells : NIL
As per report there seems to be a problem in motiliy and fructose.
Can we improve the same ?

What is the time duration that it takes for rectifications of these parameters. Request your kind input.
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
The normal Semen Analysis report findings are:
The volume of semen less than 1 ml is abnormal.
The liquefaction of the semen should occur in 10 to 30 minutes.
Ph should be alkaline(between 7.2 and 7.8).
Sperm count is the total number of sperms in a sample and should not be less than 10 million.
Motility is the movement of the sperms which is quite important and in a particular sample at least 50% of the sperms should be motile. In your sample the motility is nil which is concerning as for the fertilization that is utmost important.
I will suggest to get a repeat test done after 3 to 4 days of sexual abstinence and avoiding masturbation.
Some suggestions for you:
1) Have a healthy nutritious diet comprising fruits, veggies, salads etc. Include bananas, avocados, nuts, tomatoes as they help in increasing sperm count.
2) Take a Zinc supplementation once daily for few months.
3) Abstain from smoking and alcohol.
4) Do some form of exercise daily.
5) Avoid stress and practice meditation.
Though a drastic change seem to be less with all the measures but try to inculcate these things in life.
Consider visiting an Infertility Specialist for further line of action.
Hope this answers your query.I will be available for follow up.

What is the time period required for rectification of this problem.
Hello,
Thanks for the follow up
Since the sperm motility is nil it is very difficult to say whether it can be completely cured or not
and what time period will it take as some motile sperms are required for conception.
Consider getting a repeat test done after few days.If still the report is same you will have to XXXXXXX infertility specialist for other form of treatment.
Wishing you Good Health!
