![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: How long can I wait to get a tetnus shot, from time of injury? It's been 9 ur since lastone
Brief Answer:
it should be taken as early as possible
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Usually for tetanus every 10 years a booster should be taken if no injury. But if injured then 5 years it should be repeated.
As you told its been 9 years that you have taken the injection and if you had any injury recently and you feel injection is required then it will be advisable to take the injection within 2 3 days since the injury.
So advisable to take injection as early as possible.
I hope i have answered your query well.
If you have any more query kindly write back to me will be happy to answer them.
