How Long Can LIV 52 DS Be Taken?
I need further details
Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I have read your query in detail. I understand your concern.
I would say here that Liv 52 DS is not going to help much. Liver has its own power to regenerate, so if you stop consuming alcohol and there is no damage yet, it would recover on its own.
You can take Liv 52 as you are taking, as such there is no problem in taking it.
I would like to know a few details to give you a better idea that what you have and what you should take:
1. Since when are you drinking?
2. How much quantity of alcohol do you take in one day?
3. What problem did you face for which you felt that alcohol is not flushing fast from your body?
4. How is your sleep when you don't take alcohol?
5. Any jaundice or yellowish discoloration of urine?
6. Any history of pain abdomen?
This is my best advice for you based on available details. If you have any further query please ask me and revert with the asked details for a better help.

Dear Friend.
I have reviewed your answers.
If you are not drinking from last 8 months. You don't need any medication now.
If you wish you may continue with Liv 52 for a month more or so.
I would suggest you to get :
1. Ultrasound Abdomen to see for liver status
2. Liver Function test.
This i am suggesting just to see if there is any fatty liver, because if you have fatty liver, then would suggest you some other medication. That i would be able to decide based on report of your Ultrasound.
You can continue with Liv 52, and i am hopeful that you won't drink again!
If you have any further query please ask me.
Stay Healthy.
Thanks for your help.
I will see if i can find primary health care doc and take it from there.
