Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns about severe anxiety and multiple medications.

Although every patient responds differently but most patient show clinically noticeable improvement over the period of one week after the start of medication. The positive effects continue to increase and the sufferers observes a great difference but the end of two weeks or sometime three weeks.

I do not mean that two-three weeks are enough to show full effect as complete remission may take upto six to eight weeks.

I also like to make a point that try to remain occupied what ever interests you like your hobbies, helping family members, music, pets and so on. This is very important as generation of positive energy helps in reducing the response time to medication to a great extent.

I hope this answers you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.

Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

Before I answer your question I like to inform you that both of the medications are helpful in augmenting the action of anti anxiety medications and have little anti anxiety properties when used alone.

They are used when the primary line of medications fail to show desired response and have potential anti anxiety effects even in resistant cases.

As per my own experience I have seen great improvement after the use of lithium even in resistant cases and hope that same translates in your case. I have not used perphenazine that frequently but I had positive response whenever it was tried.

I hope this assists you further.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

We use in our hospital biofeedback therapy and get kind of mixed response. When we use it along with medications there is good response. I mean to say that a good change in response can be expected if the neurofeedback is combined with drug treatment.

I must inform you that it is free of side effect therapy where person learns to change his/her response with feedback of his own neurological activity such as EEG.

I hope this answers you further.
Thanks and regards.
