Brief Answer:
Explained
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
Based on the image you uploaded, the wound/burn is superficial and should heal without complication if adequate wound care is ensured. Wash the area daily with normal saline or povidone solution. Apply topcal triple antibiotic ointment to avoid superficial/ super added infection. Avoid tight clothing to lessen the irritation.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks

The area is healing well. There is bound to be some scar tissue formation initially but it will fade away with time.
No, you should not wrap it up in any sort of bandage. Keep it aerated by wearing loose undergarments for better healing.
Continue the topical antibiotic for now. It involves the superficial skin. Its likely to be a healing without complications. However, its always a good idea for a doctor to examine the area physically to feel the progress of the wound under aseptic conditions rather than just seeing it.
Thanks

So its not what you would call a deep wound or a deep burn? Or anything that should be a deep worry? Its only the top layer?
Is this an open cut?
I would rather wait it out before seeing a DR in person but you think it seems to have shown a bit of improvement over yesterday?
Thanks for you time you have been a great help

You said what I have was a superficial wound right?
which is less of a degree burn right?
Based on the pics the last being today the 3rd day after I noticed it 4 since it happened
You without a doubt would not say it looks like. A say 3rd degree or 4th degree burn
But only 1st degree or less which is superficial?
Update today is no pain when touched big improvement over 2 days ago would this be common if it was a serious burn?
Would you say it's been healing over the last 4days and not getting worse? What should I expect durning the healing process will the darken areas begin to peal? And If it begins to peal and I peal it will that be bad?
does it scab up? Does it just fade? Will it look this way for good?
I've been keeping it clean and using the triple antibiotic cream 2x every day

Hello again.
Yes, it has healed very well so far. The progress is excellent.
Its a first degree burn which affects the superficial layer of the skin only. I say its superficial because there are already patches of healthy skin generating in between the wound which is a very good sign.
There is high likelihood that this will scab off and resolve completely without any significant scarring or pigmentation.
Continue the same treatment with the triple antibiotic and don't manually remove or peal any skin. It will fall off itself.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks

Just wanted to get your thoughts today on the progress
On how it looks today I always put the cream on. Before bed is that ok? Or does that prevent it from healing over night i posted a pic of how it looks this morning
Thanks you've been a big help during this troubled time i hope there is a way to give you a good rating

Hello again
I can see a peeling off of the scab. I hope you haven't done it manually and it's coming off by itself.
Yes, you can apply it before going to bed. That won't do any harm.
Let me know if you have any query
Thanks

Here is how things look now
The scab kinda came off over the last few days on its own while in shower or applying cream which I still do 2-3 times a day is this going to re scab? If so I'll make sure not to wash it too much ect
or is this pretty much going to be how it's going to look now? Is this considered an open wound because I know they make scar treatment cream but I can't be applied if the wound is open?
Should I wait before using that?

Hello again.
Its probably not going to re scab. The wound has healed very well. It will take time to heal completely.
There is no harm in taking a bath or exposure to water.
I wouldn't advise any scar treatment unless you discuss it with a dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Permanent scarring is unlikely with this wound.
I would advise a zinc containing supplement for a month such as surbex Z for quicker regeneration and healing. You may discuss this option with your GP.
