I am so sorry to hear about this diagnosis and the persistence of your symptoms. Could you please outline the various symptoms for proper evaluation? Has there been no change at all or very minimal change? Did you have unprotected sexual intercourse recently?

I still have an itch and discharge throughout the day. Sometimes minor discomfort in the testicles. It has been less than 48hours since treatment but I just wanted to see if it should have improved by now?
No not recently it has been over 30days since sexual intercourse.

Brief Answer:
Give at least 5days before we evaluate the treatment!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
less than 48hours is too short an interval to make real decisions about whether the treatment worked or not. Let's review the symptoms in 5 days and if they stay pretty much the same, then we are going to review the treatment fully and probably conduct more exams to identify the exact antibiotic that this may require/ I am however optimistic that unless the diagnosis was not correct, this treatment is very correct for gonorrhea.
I wish you well and keep me updated!

Dr.,
I was wrong about the test results. Te medication was prescribed as a precaution due to the symptoms.
I just received my results and they are negative for chlamydia and gonorrhea. Also negative for mycoplasma. This raises more questions.
Should I continue to wait a few more days. Today my symptoms have remained the same with little to no noticeable improvement.
Thank you for your help

Brief Answer:
I will recommend that you wait a little longer!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand it becomes even more concerning with negative laboratory tests and persistence of symptoms. however, you were offered a broad spectrum of antibiotics that I will not want to rush for any more investigations as the results would not be very informative seen the fact that you are already on such drugs. My advise it to say we have a maximum of 5days and if nothing good is on the line, return for a more comprehensive evaluation.
Did you get a urine examination or you only got test for STDs?
I hope to hear from you and wish you well. Do not forget to provide updates!
