Hello and welcome,

On average, Zofran has a "half life" of 3 - 6 hours. Half life means that in that period of time, your body has broken down and eliminated half of the remaining drug in your body. So half is gone in 3-6 hours, and half remains in your system. Given another 3-6 hours, 1/4 of the the dose you took remains. And so on.

However, there are factors that affect how long it takes to be broken down. You did not provide your age or gender, so I'll just say that studies show on average, a 75 year old female takes twice as long to break down and eliminate the drug as an 18 year old male.

Other factors include whether you are taking any other medications that compete for the same liver enzymes to break it down (which may speed up or delay the elimination of the Zofran). Also, regular alcohol consumption can affect this too.

I hope this information helps.
