How Long Does Burning Sensation During Urination Due To Dehydration Last?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: Hi. I am male, from the UK, 61, 5'9", 190lbs, having recently lost 30lbs (over 6 months) on a sensible eating plan.
On Monday I visited Leke XXXXXXX in Banff National Park, and foolishly walked about 5 miles with neither water nor hat. A few hours later, I was feeling pretty lousy; headache, general achieness, sweating, frequent need to urinate, and pain on passing water(but very little water actually passed, to the extent that I began to suspect there might be an obstruction).
I upped my water intake, and took paracetamol, and within 48 hours, I was feeling much better, but most of the UTI symptoms remain. I am passing more water now, and slightly less often, but with great urgency when required.
About 30 years ago, I passed a number of small kidney stones, and this left me with, very occasionally, symptoms of UTI. I have always dealt with this by increasing my water intake and taking paracetamol. Ant the symptoms invariably pass within a few hours.

Brief Answer:
Dehydration and urinary symptoms
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
urinary burning sensation from concentrated urine can remain for 1 to 2 days even after hydration. sometimes dehydration and exertion in heat can lead to muscle injury as well producing dark colored urine (rhabdomyolysis). hope you are not having symptoms of muscle pains and dark urine. you should continue liberal water intake for couple of days and see if the problem is settling . if not you should get urine routine examination to rule out urine complain.
best wishes
