How Long Does Circumcision Wound Take To Heal?
Question: Hi Doctor,
I had a Circumcision Surgery done in March 2016. But as more than 1 year completed still there is wounds and cuts over the stitching area. After surgery though I went to a best Urologist with 40 yrs of experience, but in the subsequent visits he told no need to worry give some ointments like bitadine and soframycin ointment to apply over it.
But its itching always and in little pressure again there is a cut and bleeding entire stiching side round.

1) Are you diabetic?
2) Did you have infection at the site of suture line in immediate post operative period ?
3) Will you please upload photograph of your penis in both the directions .
The itching at the site of surgery is usually due to hypertrophied scar ...
Using topical Steroid Ointment like Betnovate twice daily will help to reduce itching and promote healing .

BETNOVATE-C CREAM, BETNOVATE-N CREAM,BETNOVATE-GM CREAM, BETNOVATE-S CREAM or .01, or .12%, pls clarify the correct one.
Also after verifying the picture pls confirm what to do as already surgery done.

The suture line isperfectly healed up however there is hypertrophy of scar with fresh cuts on dorsal aspect may be due to dry vigorous sex .
Using lubricant jelly like Xylocaine jelly during sex will prevent getting cuts .
Use Benovate N ointment twice daily for two weeks .
