How Long Does Cocaine Stay In System?
Question: hello i am currently taking, lexapro, bactrim and nexium.. A few nights ago while under the influence of alcohol i did cocaine (7-11) and tomm. morning (7-14) i have an endoscopy scheduled. Is the cocaine still active in my system? And should i be worried about it interfering with the seditave i will be given? Thank you
Brief Answer:
You could tell better than I
Detailed Answer:
If the feelings of cocaine are gone, then the drug isn't active in the system anymore. It would be unlikely to be there 24 hrs later enough to be active, but would be detectable on a urine drug screen. Alcohol if repeatedly used, will interact with sedation and you should have mentioned how often and how much alcohol you take already to the doctor.
But, shouldn't interact much at all at 24 hrs or later.

ok, thank you for your help, and just to clarify if the feelings of the cocaine are long gone, do there should be no worries of that interference with seditave, correct? and i have informed my doctor of the alchol use
Brief Answer:
no, not at all
Detailed Answer:
it just isn't active very long at all. There's some subjective down feeling but it isn't the type of down that interacts with a sedative (like alcohol, valium, narcotics can make someone oversedated...not cocaine withdrawal).
good, glad to be helpful!
