How Long Does It Take For Androcur To Show Effect?
Question: I am on androcur 50mg for 3 days. How long before full chemical castration occurs?
Brief Answer:
It may take a few weeks for complete action.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HelathcareMagic.
Androcur (cyproterone acetate) is an antiandrogen. Although it modifies male sexual behavior, it does not really cause chemical castration. However, it may take a few weeks for the action to set in completely.

Thanks but I am also taking Provera tablets (10mg) with Androcur 50 mg. Would that speed up the process of chemical castration? I am a male. 32. Thanks
Brief Answer:
Provera (medroxyprogesterone) will aid in the process
Detailed Answer:
You need not worry. While Androcur will indeed take care of the male hormones, Provera (medroxyprogesterone) will supplement for the gap by providing the female conterparts. Although it will not speed up the process, it will bring the balance and help in achieving what you aspire for.
