Posted on Mon, 22 Jun 2015
Question: just want to let you know the urinary track infection has subsided, Still having some frequent trips to the bathroom and some incontinence. Should this problem get better soon? Also some residual weakness from the gastroenteritis. Would appreciate your comments.

Brief Answer:
His Problem seems to be due to Enlarged Prostate.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your husband has UTI secondary to Enlarged Prostate,

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on his problems.
1) Have you ever consulted Urologist for his urinary symptoms ?
2) Have you done his Ultrasound Scanning of abdomen and Pelvis?
if yes what is the size of the prostate and what is the volume of post void Urine residue ?
3) He is already taking Tomflow and Fenesteride for his enlarged prostate.

The frequency and incontinence that he has is basically due to enlarged prostate .
If his general health is good and does not have any major health issue you can discuss with your Urologist to explore the possibility of resecting the prostate gland by endoscopic surgery of TURP.

This is gold standard method to remove the enlarged prostate and practiced world wide and gives good results and helps to improve quality of life of a patient at old age.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
