Brief Answer:
Candidia

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

You are concerned that you have candida or thrush. If you do then you would have an opportunistic infection and there would be an underlying disease that your reduce your immunity. Are you sure you have candida. Numerous people look in the back of their throat and see these large bumps and what they are seeing are the large taste buds. Please send a photo so I can better understand and explain what is going on.

The other reason that i do not suspect that you have candida is the fluconazole is a very powerful antifungal medication and would easily cure candida within a few days and the fact you took it for 7 tells me that the Dx maybe incorrect.

Brief Answer:
no candida

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for submitting the picture. As I expected the lumps that you see in the back of your throat is not candida but the normal taste buds. There are large papilla taste buds in the back of the tongue. Everyone has them and you are just now seeing them. This is normal and you do not kneed to be on antibiotics.

For your sore throat I would recommend salt water gargles 4-6 times daily to help sooth the throat.

I hope I answered your question. Please contact us again if you have any additional questions
