
How Long Is The Healing Process After SCC Surgery?

Question: I had a squamous cell carcinoma removed from my leg five weeks ago and it is not healing. It is sore but does not appear infected. Wound is on shin bone. What do I do?

There are few possible causes of delayed healing and these include certain diseases such as diabetes or wound infection or local factors such as bad circulation, inadequate margins resection of tumor or the skin damaged too much for appropriate healing.
