How Many Days Of Abstinence Is Ideal For A Good Quality Of Semen Sample?
Question: he is a non-smoker,non-drinker,no past medical history,no problems hereditary wise and occupational wise.he drinks 4-5 cups coffee daily and we do use a gas heater in our bedroom 24 hours, but not high temperature can this have any effect.
Is there any possibility provided only one healthy sperm is needed to fertilize an egg.

1) Such low count occurs due to some genetic problems of unknown origin. Genetically transmitted and hence are from birth.
2) Though he might be a teetotaller without any habits, these genetically transmitted abnormalities are unfortunate and are hard to cure.
3) Gas heater in room is not a reason for this.
4) In situation like his sperm count, natural pregnancy is not possible. You have to go through a process called ICSI ( Intracytoplasmic sperm injection) where each spermis injected into an egg.
5) Ideally 3 days of abstinence is required for giving semen analysis.
6) Night shifhts and stress are the reasons for affecting semen analysis.
7) Clomid and hCG might increase the sperm count in some people. Before this I want you to repeat semen analysis in a standard laboratory. I can advice you further seeing new report.
