Brief Answer:
Your issues have been addressed to, as below
Detailed Answer:
Hi friend,
Thanks for your query.
Firstly, your BMI is within normal range.
A high
Triglyceride (TGL) level could have been due to either, over-indulgence in junk food; or, type 2
Hyperlipidemia ( a sub-type of Hyperlipidemia in which there is isolated increase of TGL levels).
Rosuvastatin alone will not reduce your TGL. Hence, take a combination of Rosuvastatin 10mg/5mg +
Fenofibrate (ideally 200mg, or preferably 160mg). Fenofibrate typically reduces TGL. (Due to involved medical ethics, as well as, this website's Policy, I cannot prescribe the combination by its Brand Name.)
Except for Pav bhaji, you can continue with other spicy "junk food". Pizzas, confectionary, mutton, butter, eggs, aerated drinks, soft drinks and alcohol (as applicable) should be totally stopped. Coconut oil should be curtailed.
Use of Rice XXXXXXX oil, or Sunflower oil, olive oil would be preferable for cooking purpose.
IDEAL DIET :- High fiber, high Protein, low fat and restricted Calorie (1500-1800 Calories) diet. A plateful of green salad (which is rich in fibers and Vitamin B) should be part of your meal.
Get your Blood Vitamin D level estimated. If found to be low, addition of
Calcitriol (Vit D3 in the dose of 0.25-0.5micrograms or even more/day) should be made along with oral calcium.
Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with my opinion and prescribe the suggested supplements in appropriate doses.
Hope I have addressed to your concerns to your complete satisfaction and you find my response helpful and informative. I will be happy to answer further queries, if any.
Fond regards and have a nice day,
Dr. Rakesh Karanwal
