Question: I have a feeding tube since April. It was hurting all day like it did when they put it in. I had a coughing fit and the tube popped out. I cleaned it up with saline and covered it with gauze. I previously had one removed in 2011 and this leaked about the same amount. Is there a need to go to Dr tonight or can it wait til Monday

I would recommend that you go to your local emergency department for assessment. It is possible that they might be able to insert a small tube to keep the tract open which would make it easier for you to have the tube completely replaced. If you wait too long then the opening will close and you will require another full procedure to have a feeding tube inserted.
