Brief Answer: 2-3 weeks... Detailed Answer: Hi, Appendicectomy done via laparoscope has faster recovery time than conventional open surgery. If it's laparoscopic surgery, you should be fit by 3-5 days. Average recovery and fitness returns in about 7-10 days after open surgery. That being said every procedure is individual and one cannot predict complications before hand. So if all goes well during and after surgery, you must be fit to travel in about 2-3 weeks time.
