Brief Answer:
DETAILS ARE GIVEN BELOW.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:

1) You did sex close to her fertile days and there may be chance of pregnancy. Therefore, she MUST undergo one home pregnancy test (with MORNING urine) at the EARLIEST to rule out pregnancy as she misses her regular period. Mental stress and hormonal imbalance can cause delayed period.

2) On NEGATIVE test, she can wait up to 7 days to get her period naturally. In absence of period, she must repeat the test or do one blood test for beta-hCG to clear doubt about pregnancy.

Without confirmation of pregnancy, abortion pill is NOT recommended and they can cause adverse health effect.

3) If she gets again NEGATIVE pregnancy test, then she can take progesterone pill (like Norethisterone etc) for 3 to 5 days to induce period. Kindly, procure a complete prescription from local doctor.

4) On POSITIVE test, medical abortion can be done with the help of abortion pill. However, self administration of abortion pill (MTP kit) is NOT recommended. and she DOESN'T go for that.

The abortion procedure is associated with several risks and complications like nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramp, excessive vaginal bleeding, fainting etc. She can't control them by herself at home. Therefore, I suggest to consult with local GYNECOLOGIST or healthcare provider for safe termination.

Hope, it will be helpful for your information. Kindly, close the discussion, if you don't have any other query.

Wish her good health and take care yourself.

Regards,
Dr Soumen
