Hi,
I have gone through the medical history of your wife and am sorry for the situation she is in.
Before running into final conclusions, I gently ask to have the reports of your last colonoscopy together with reports of blood work. Thank you.
With regards to passing the stool 5 times/day, I'd like to have more info :
- is the stool mixed with blood ?
- is it black or normal color?
- does she pass the motion during night?
- does she have pain while passing the motion?
It is true that passing the motion 5 times daily is still a high frequency. I suggest to discuss with her doctor to add spasmodic drugs to get the stool frequency down. However, I remind to you to look at her other symptoms first: if she is having also pain and/or blood while passing the motion, spasmodic drugs should not be used.
I also suggest to discuss with her doctor about re-starting immune-therapy she had at the beginning.
Diet is also important. Please bare in mind that foods high in lactose can increase bowel movements, so, I advise not to use such foods for a while until improvement.
Hope it was of help!
