How To Confirm A Successful Abortion?

Question: Hello Doc I had taken Mifepristone and after 48 hours taken misoprostol , bleeding started within an hour of taking it and was quite heavy with clotting for a day only but has now stopped , please suggest if this will happen again or do i need to take another dosage . pls guide
Brief Answer:
Abortion has likely occured
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
After taking medical abortion, bleeding with clots can occur from one to seven days, depending upon the gestational age at which the abortion is taken.
If there was heavy bleeding with clots, abortion has likely occurred and there is no need to take repeat dose.
You can get an ultrasound done to confirm the abortion.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
