Brief Answer:
Change the antacid.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr. XXXXXXX I am Dr Phanindra Dulipala.
I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.
The blood sugar values are a bit higher to normal range. Regarding diabetes medication, better to try with triple drug combination and voglibose drug, rather than individual many drugs. Discuss this with your treating doctor.
Try this along with good physical activity and low calorie, small frequent diet.
If still you Don't find good control, then you need to start insulin.
Coming to stomach bulging and fullness, avoid spicy foods, avoid junk, fried and oily foods. Stop Acilox and go for higher antacid. You can discuss this with your treating doctor..
Yesaka can be continued.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

Earlier i was taking only one Tablet namely Glimy M for diabetics and was feeling quite comfortable without any side effects.I had done HbA1C and count was 9.50.Hence i had consulted diabetician and was prescribed Dionil three times,Pioper MF(7.5),Prebose M(0.3),Rxtor-5,Stamlo-5,Acilox(300).I m not taking spicy or oily foods. After taking these many medicines i feel my stomach bulgy and motion being severely affected.should i consult another diabetician or continue to take the same medicines?
Brief Answer:
Change to higher antacid.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr. XXXXXXX I understood your concern
the change of drugs is because of the poor glucose control shown in HbA1c which should be less than 6.5%. When the change in drugs or dosages is done, we need to give sometime for the new form to work in the body. Any diabetologist does the same. So there is no necessity in change of a doctor, you only give some time and discuss regarding triple drug (sulphonyl urea, biguanide and glitazone) combination. rather than in two forms being given to you.
Regarding stomach disturbances, as i have already mention change the antacid alone to higher drug. That could help you a lot. even then if you have problem try to discuss with treating doctor and start insulin and reduce metformin dosage from your drugs.
Hope this guides you. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish you good health. Thank you.
Brief Answer:
Blood check up every 2 -3 months
Detailed Answer:
Hi, Mr. XXXXXXX
Initially when dose is being changed, Blood check up should be done every 10 days until dose is adjusted. After the every 2-3 months interval will be the preferable choice.
HbA1c should be checked every 3 months with action taken each time until the level is below 7% (best is 6.5%), and then every 6 months thereafter.
Hope this guides you. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish you good health.

Brief Answer:
Small frequent meals and walking helps
Detailed Answer:
Hi, Mr. XXXXXXX
Small and frequent meals is advisable. Use complex carbohydrate as the main energy source rather than fat or protein. Avoid ‘filling up’ with fatty foods such as cheese or meat containing high saturated fat levels. Eat fish, especially oily fish, once or twice a week. Use olive oil or rapeseed oil in cooking. Keep sugar to a minimum especially if overweight. Eat five portions of fruit or vegetables daily. Restrict salt, which is often present in processed foods. Avoid junk foods, grapes, potatoes, etc.
Regular moderate aerobic physical activity or Brisk walking for at least 30 minutes on 5 days of the week. Any yogic exercises for 40 min. like suryanamaskara will help you.
Hope this guides you. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish you good health. Thank you.
