She has a 13 year old son who is brillant in studies adn I know if given a proper love and support he can have a succesful carrier in his life. But due to this parents issue he is going under depression. My brother in law and my sister both are not a good parents I must say. Though she is my sister but I will say she is not a perfect mother. Since childhood her son never received a motherly and fatherly love and caring.I dont want to much talk about my brother in law but even my sister never been a good mother. She always fight with her son and say a selfish word. The way she speak and the words use in the fight with her son is so bad that one cannot even image that a mother can say in such a way with her own son. Each and every moment she fight with her son blame his father and him.Now it is above the tolerance and son is getting into much depression that he failed in one of the subject. I was XXXXXXX to hear that the boy who used to get top in all subject had failed and rest of the subject he got average marks. My sister talk is totally out of this world. Brief Answer:
Psychological counselling will help her.

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related doubts

It is common in individuals to suffer from mood swings, depressive symptoms, irritability etc symptoms during the process of divorce or separation. Your sister is under process of divorce and this has probably caused psychological trauma to her. This is the reason she is fighting with her son and is saying bad words to him. Such type of projective behaviour is common in individuals during divorce.

Don't judge her by her current behaviour. Talk to her and try to listen to her and find out the exact problem. If she doesn't speak up then better to show her to a psychologist. A good counselling and marital therapy should improve her mood.

If after counselling symptoms persist then better to visit a psychiatrist. Antidepressants for some time will definitely help her.

Thanks, Please don't hesitate to ask again for more doubts.

Take care
