Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concerns.
I donot think stopping klonopin will cause any problem as you have just taken it occasionally. You can stop it.

Thank you. Here is my full question below.
Does anyone know anything about Klonopin? My doctor prescribed 1mg Klonopin to take as needed for anxiety. I've only taken 3, 1mg pills of Klonopin about 3 weeks apart from each other. So 3 pills over 6 or 7 weeks time. The last one I took was yesterday. I've just read that it is highly addictive and can do a lot of irreversible damage to a person's brain and nerves. Have I taken enough to cause that kind of damage? Am I going to be addicted? Is it safe to just stop it all together? Will there be bad withdrawals from stopping? Learning this has made me very anxious. I wish my doctor would have told me this before. Not mad at him or anything, just would have appreciated a full disclosure. Havent ad time to see him because hes all booked up for awhile .

Brief Answer:
can stop klonopin now.
Detailed Answer:
You are most welcome.
Absolutely..your doctor should have told you about effects and side effects of klonopin.
Klonopin is addictive.. True!
But it can cause addiction when taken regularly for atleast 3-4 weeks.
You have have taken 3 tablets in six weeks.
That is a very minimal dose.
At this dose, it will not cause any addiction.
There would not be any withdrawals if you stop klonopin now.
It can cause amnesia. But that is when it is taken regularly for more then 6 months.
So your dose will notcause brain damage as well.
Do not worry.
Hope I have addresses your concerns satisfactorily.
Yiu are welcome for clarification of more doubts.
Take care.
Thanks.

Thank you so much. I do so appreciate it. I do believe that i can control my anxiety enough without it. And my doctor did prescribe as an as needed basis only. But nonetheless I'll inform him that I am stopping it altogether. It makes me clumsy, tired, and have sad crying spells out of nowhere, LOL. I dont really care for that. Im not sure if my anxiety would be causing tingling and burning(icy/hot like) sensations on my skin in various places like my arms, stomach, crotch and lower legs area. It comes and goes at random. Do you think that would be related to anxiety/ panic attacks and depression? Or more of a neurological thing? Thats why i took the last Klonopin yesterday, to try and calm that down. Which it has altogether. But i do not like the other side effects that i mentioned above the clumsiness etc. thank you for your kind responses .
Brief Answer:
anxiety can cause tingling and burning.
Detailed Answer:
You are most welcome :)
Anxiety can cause variety of symptoms including tingling and burning sensation in body.
Yes klonopin can cause clumsiness and tired. May be 1mg is on a higher side for you.
You might tolerate 0.5 mg well.
Anyhow, if you do not wish to take the drug, you can practice some relaxation exercises like deep breathing and meditation to help in your anxiety.
Hope my suggestions helped you.
