Post acne marks/pimple marks can be either just post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation(PIH) Or they could be acne scars/dents/pits in addition to PIH.
For post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, you can use a topical skin lightening agent e.g kojic acid or hydroquinone or azaleic acid, twice daily. Chemical peeling is also effective in lightening the hyperpigmentation e.g Glycolic peel.
Use a broad spectrum sunscreen gel 15-20 minutes before stepping out in the sun.
However, post acne scars/dents/pits/depressions can only be improved cosmetically with some procedure. Various available methods to improve the appearance of acne scars are: Chemical Peeling, Fractional CO2 Laser, Microneedling/Dermaroller, Subscission, Punch excision and grafting, Dermabrasion etc
