How To Find The Cause Of Acquired Nystagmus?

Question: Can acquired nystagmus thought to be related to the central nervous system be something that is observed one day and not another? Would balance testing provoke symptoms and it show on a test or is there a possibilty of it being intermittent and not caught?
Brief Answer:
Brain MRI
Detailed Answer:
Dear
I understand that you are concern about any episode with vertigo.
It will be difficult to fully exclude brain damage without MRI.
So in my opinion any vertigo which is episodic or intermittent is not related with brain damage but insurance - MRI!

Thank you so much. I have been experiencing some quirky symptoms since having a baby in december last year. The nystagmus and vertigo are just two of the many multiple symptoms but those concerned me most. A doctor on here believes i may be suffering from a post lumbar puncture headache after hearing i also have headaches and neck/back pain. Thank yo again for your help and i appreciate such a detailed respone.u
Brief Answer:
Not to worry
Detailed Answer:
Dear
I don't think those symptoms are related with the puncture.
Anyway my advice is to stay calm, avoid caffeine drinks and just wait. All your symptoms will disappear and you will be fine.
Stay healthy
