Question: Hi!! I am a healty woman and i have 3 wounderful children.I am 45 years old and want a baby. I don´t know if i am in menopause. I know that i am still a little fertil.....but not like an 30 years old woman I Want to try to having a baby What can i do?? what medicin is good to try??? I have read on internet that even if you are in the beginning of youre menopause, you can be pregnet you can try different medicine like ...menopure and it can help youre body to produce egg...more egg and help youre ovary please i want a baby so much and my man to How can i do?? How can i try this??? XXXXXXX

Brief Answer: assessment of fertility required Detailed Answer: Hello XXXXXXX I can understand your concern for baby but as you said chances of pregnancy decreases as the age advances. At the age of 45 you might still be fertile but to know that I would suggest you to get an ultrasound for assessment of antral follicle count and some hormone assays especially FSH and AMH; and then consult your gynecologist. Don't take any medicine without proper assessment as this will be a waste of money and effort. In case you don't have good fertility potential then you can opt for donor egg IVF (In vitro fertilization) after preparing your uterus to accept the same. Take care and all the best.
