Hello,

Thanks for the query,

I understand your concern

Let me explain you that the causes of joint pain are many like rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout and other collagen vascular diseases. I advise you to get evaluated by a local rheumatologist. The tests which will be helpful are

Blood ESR- Erythrocyte sedimentation rate
CRP
Rheumatoid factor XXXXXXX profile
Serum uric acid
These tests will help us narrow down the diagnostic possibilities.

Please note that if all these tests are negative, you may be having a mechanical joint pain which will improve with physiotherapy.

I hope that I have clarified your query
Please get back to me in case you have any concern
Best wishes

thank you for your help. I have tried some capsaicin. and it helps some along with some alive and hot baths. anything else you can suggest until I get in to see the doc next week would be greatly helpful.

Hello,

Thanks for the feed back

Before a definitive diagnosis is established, you may try a course of analgesics like paracetamol, ibuprofen, naproxen, piroxicam under the guidance of a local general physician
