Blood pressure should be controlled during pregnancy to avoid hypertension related maternal and fetal complication. It would be BELOW 140/ 90 mm Hg.
Periodic check up, urine examination, measurement of BP and body weight are very MUCH ESSENTIAL at each antenatal visit for proper monitoring. It will decrease future risk of Pre-eclampsia (hypertension with Proteinuria) and Eclampsia (added convulsion).
She would take well balanced diet and LIMIT salt intake (First step). Medication like Methyldopa or Labetalol can be given to control BP. Light exercise regularly, go for walks and do yoga or pranayama after consulting with her doctor.
