Question: how can I lose weight with 3mg of low dose naltrexone i read an article sayin it was possible to lose weight whil e on low dose naltrexone what do I need to do ?

Brief Answer: Not approved by FDA.... Detailed Answer: Hi, There was a clinical trial few years ago where low dose naltrexone was used along with bupropion as a means to lose weight. Though there was some results during the trial especially when combined with other weight reduction programme, federal drug administration declined approval for regular use in view of safety concerns. During the trial, the dose of naltrexone was slowly built to 32mg along with bupropion over 4 weeks. Just 3mg naltrexone was not used during the trial. Further, since it was a trial, the entire therapy was monitored by expert doctors chosen for trial. I am not sure if there is any more trial with this drug happening. As per my latest knowledge it is suspended. Hope this answers your question. Regards
