GGT levels usually increase parallel to levels of alkaline phosphatase, another liver enzyme.
Alcoholic liver disease can also cause increase in GGT levels, however, it is accompanied by increase in 5-nucleotidase levels which is another liver enzyme.

An ultrasound abdomen will assess the status of abdominal organs. and external biliary tract.

I got my blood test and ultrasound done everything came out normal . My SGT and SGOPT were normal all my organs were normal . I do not have a gall bladder as it was removed because of a stone .
I had started drinking a lot but have given up completely since the past two weeks .
What can I do to get the gift level to normal . Is this range of GGT FATAL even after all other tests are normal
